Red Elephant Inn Bed and Breakfast, North Conway, New Hampshire

A four-season historic bed and breakfast inn tucked away on a quiet wooded lane just off the main route through the village of North Conway, Red Elephant Inn Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the Mount Washington Valley in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

The inn is within walking distance of North Conway, NH's activities, but it is removed enough to provide peaceful lodging and the relaxation of the New Hampshire mountains. Just as close to the inn as the village are trailheads into the woods and hills, yet again just as close are hundreds of outlet and specialty shops as well as scores of restaurants and pubs. There are mountains and rivers, ledges and waterfalls, ski areas and outfitters, covered bridges and antique stores. The area abounds with some of the finest sightseeing, recreation, shopping and dining in all of New England.

The inn itself is distinctively appointed with the art, antiques, and collectibles we've accumulated from our travels over the years. The house is complemented by a porch, deck, and  swimming pool as well as by extensively landscaped grounds and gardens. Inside there is the cozy quiet of the library with its westerly view of the Moat Range, or the convivial entertainment of the den with its big-screen LCD TV and comfy leather furniture.

The eight guestrooms all are individually decorated, and all have private baths and air-conditioning. The inn and the guestrooms are non-smoking.

The guestrooms are unique, varying one from the other in layout, amenities, and views. All the rooms have their own baths, and all the rooms are air-conditioned. The larger rooms have king-sized beds; the rest have queen-sized. Some of the rooms have gas-burning fireplaces or stoves; some have cable television with VCR/DVD players. Some of the baths have jetted Jacuzzi-style tubs. Each room in our New Hampshire inn has its own charm and decor. 

The village of North Conway, New Hampshire is nestled in Mt. Washington Valley in the heart of the White Mountains. Androscoggin Valley Country Club - Semi-private, 18 hole, par 70
Flat and player friendly. Fairways are wide and tree-lined, and water hazards come into play on seven holes. Redesigned in 2004.

A nine-hole course with elevated tees, that winds along the Wildcat River. Spectacular views of mountains up through Carter Notch.

Located at the White Mountain Hotel beneath White Horse Ledge, Hale’s is a very challenging course with spectacular views. Elevated bent greens, fairway tees, and many sand traps.

PGA course with sweeping views of the Ossipee Mountain Range. Challenging diversity of greens, par 3's that test your long irons, water hazards, and several trees that could alter your shots.

Mountain View, The Grand Resort and Spa -      Public, 9 hole, par 35
Designed and built in 1900, refurbished in 1999. Spectacular mountain views in all directions. Fairways feature rolling terrain and swales. This historic course has great opportunities for “shot-makers”.

Public, 27 hole, par 71 and par 3518 hole is a classic Donald Ross course with liberal fairways and challenging greens. Separate 9 hole is a more difficult links style course
