Flamingo Lake Self Catering Cottages for Golf Holidays at Arabella Golf Course, South Africa

About an hour's drive from Cape Town, on the way to the Garden Route and not more than fifteen minutes' drive from Hermanus, Flamingo Lake is hidden deep inside the Middlevlei Nature Reserve.

This is an ideal spot from which to explore the Overberg region.

The place is quiet, incredibly beautiful, safe, secure and close to nature. The loudest noise will be the sound of the sea. From your rondavel you can watch the birds on the lagoon, stroll through the estate, cross the romantic footbridge to the beach, swim in the swimming pool or enjoy a game of tennis.

Flamingo Lake started operation in 2003 with a total of 360 guests. In 2005 we are expecting about a thousand. We have grown from three units to 14, and are still adding to that number. No two units are the same. Some of our units are cute and cosy, some are spacious. Some have views over the lake, others don't. But all share the same wonderful natural atmosphere and high standards of furnishing and equipment.

Our bush cabins are set in a forest of ancient and rare milkwood trees. They are all 6 meters square, some are single-storey, others are double-storey houses, built of logs and very quaint and beautiful. They are all either on the edge of the lake, or not much more than a few metres away.

The three stars and the AA flag above represent your guarantee of quality. Each year our facilities are inspected by the AA and the official Tourism Grading Council to ensure that we meet or exceed the internationally recognised standards.
Flamingo Lake is enjoying huge popularity from visitors both local and abroad. In just over two years we have grown from 2 rooms to 13, and from 7 beds to 45. Last year we were host to about 500 guests; this year we are expecting about a thousand!

Kleinmond is fortunate to have one of the most picturesque golf courses in the cape, situated between the mountains and the sea and surrounded by fynbos. Golfers are assured of beautiful views as well as a challenging round of golf.
