Loaninghead is surrounded by stunning countryside, wildlife and ancient history and is in an excellent position for country activities such as hill climbing, canoeing, fishing, cycling, cruising on the lochs or watching wildlife. While Loaninghead enjoys idyllic countryside views, the village of Drymen is only a short drive for provisions, relax in one of the restaurants or spend some time on its golf courses.

Loaninghead is our home. We are readily available should you need us during your stay. We are open all year and offer mid-week and weekend breaks in low season. Your break with us will begin with the warmest of welcomes and we will do our utmost to make your holiday an enjoyable and memorable one.

Our simple philosophy is offer genuine value for money and give high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a beautiful retreat for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil holiday with the very best quality and comfort. We aim for our guests to have the best holiday possible and leave for home wishing to come back again and again.

We are pleased to offer bed and breakfast accommodation in addition to our self-catering facilities. Our bed and breakfast rooms are ideal for that short stay of a few days or for extra guests visiting 'The Bothy'.

We offer 2 King/Twin en-suite shower rooms and 1 double en-suite. One room on the ground floor. All rooms have television, bath robes, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer etc. There is a log fire in the guests sitting room.

We have just added Wi - Fi for our guests convenience.

Prices for our bed and breakfast accommodation range from £30 per person per night for our double room with en-suite facilities to £35 per person per night for our Super Kingsize with en-suite facilities

Our large, mature garden has colour throughout the year and can be enjoyed al fresco with the help of the garden furniture and gas barbecue.

Golf:

Buchanan Castle Golf Club in Drymen offers an 18 hole parkland course. Strathendrick Golf Club and Aberfoyle offers a steep course, Callander Golf Course nearby and Balfron Golf Club now offers an 18 hole course. All are open to visitors. The Scottish Open is held in July at Loch Lomond, Rossdhu House in Luss, is always popular and you'll need to book early.
