Among woods and vineyards of sienese chianti, surrounded by a large region considered a natural park. With a dominating and sunny position, you find the ancient rural village of the XVII century called "POGGIARELLO".

Antico Borgo Poggiarello is a tiny hamlet, which sits on a small hill located in the Sienese Chianti in Tuscany. It overlooks the valley below with lovely views towards San Gimignano and is close to the fabulous medieval walled village of Monteriggioni.

 This tiny 17th century hamlet has been lovingly restored by its owners using traditional materials including chestnut beams and terracotta floors.

 There are 14 apartments all stylishly furnished with high quality fixtures and fittings arranged around a tiny piazza where the restaurant is located. Guests can dine in the evening either inside or outside enjoying a 5 course meal prepared especially for guests at Poggiarello.

Antico Borgo Poggiarello is a perfect base, for exploring the beautiful area west of Siena and the wonderful renaissance cities of Florence (50 mins), and Siena(30 mins) which are both within easy reach.

The structure consists of 14 apartments charmingly furnished in the old style of tuscany. Each apartment is provided with satellite tv and telephone line for internet network connection.

Apartment 2/4 people: kitchen and living room with sofa double bed 1 double bedroom 1 bathroom.

Apartment 4/6 people: kitchen and living room with sofa double bed 1 room with double bed 1 double room with twin beds 1 bathroom

Apartment 6/8 people: kitchen and living room with sofa double bed 2 rooms with double bed 1 double room with twin beds 2 bathrooms.

Suites

Suite Torrete
This suite, like a tower, has a dominating position over the Tuscany hills.  It includes a large kitchen and living room, with a double sofa bed,  double bedroom,  bathroom and a private garden.

Suite Onda
This suite includes mezzanine floor kitchen, living area with double sofa bed, double bedroom, athroom and private garden.

Swimming Pool
From 1 may to 15 september it's possible to enjoy the swimming pool of 15 meters surrounded by the green olive trees and close to the wood.

Roman Bath
Inside the village there is a beautiful Roman Bath (only for guest) where the relax and quiet are assured after your excursions. A very special place.

Restaurant
For dinner we suggest you  taste the typical tuscany cooking and the excellent local wines in the fascinating dining room located in the old byre. Our dining room is also available for breakfast.

The management, in collaboration with the architect Keith Preston and two Italian architects, has been able to create a structure with a great future. The numerous water surfaces play three major roles: they are natural reservoirs, their presence enhances the landscape and they are interesting natural obstacles, which complicate the course

In the very heart of Chianti country, Ugolino is the birthplace of Italian golf, occupying its current site since 1933. A club rich in tradition. The front 9 swoops through the hills and shaping of shots will help. Back 9 is more level and offers some scoring opportunities.
It is located along the Chiantigiana Road and over the years countless tournaments have been played on this golf course.

Situated in the city of Colle di Val d' Elsa, the Golf  Club of  Abbadia is an ideal course for those just taking up the game or for those who wish to improve their standard of play.  The Abbadia Golf has a driving range putting-green, pitching-green and 6 hole short course. Very good clubhouse with fantastic views.
