Torre Coccaro is a Masseria built not far from the sea whose origins date from the XVI century. Surrounded by antique olive trees, almond trees and carobs, this tower, once a stronghold against the Turks, has now become a five star resort whose aim is to bring back the guests to the antique natural life and make them benefit in full from the simple pleasures of rural life. The courtyard hosts an ancient chapel dating from 1730 where the people of Savelletri, a fishermen’s village nearby, walked to worship the patron saints, before reaching the tufara, the quarry where the tuffs to build the farm were cut; this tufara has now become the vegetable garden of the farm; along an ancient pergola from which the resourceful irrigation technology can be observed.

Rooms

Classic Superior
Surrounded by history, secular olive trees and a stone portico marked by grand vaults, you will experience the genuine pleasure of living in a farm, looking at the true colours and scents of the countryside. All the rooms are fitted with a bathtub, a small table and two armchairs for breakfast and ancient furniture. SUPERIOR rooms are located in the farmyard, are larger and benefit from a better location compared with classic rooms.

Junior Suite
Extremely elegant, they successfully couple simplicity with comfort, thus enjoying at best the atmosphere. Some jr. suites are located in the ancient farmyard and are fitted with a stone fireplace; others are in the ancient XVI century tower and are marked by typical barrel vaults and a balcony overlooking the sea and the olive groves; the remaining jr. suites are located in the ancient tuff houses and are fitted with elegant sofas and beautiful vaults.

Junioir Suite Deluxe
3 junior suites deluxe are located in the tower, one has a living room and a big stone fireplace and TV corner; the other two rooms have Jacuzzi, these suites overlook the surrounding countryside, the big olive trees and the sea. Another jr. suite deluxe was carved into a wonderful ancient cave and is equipped with a fireplace and a private garden.

Orange Garden Suite
The greatest comfort with a private pool and a whirlpool bath inside a 200 sq. mt. orange grove, located in an ancient 100 sq. mt. cave, you will enjoy a big whirlpool bath for 2 people, and in cold nights, a large and romantic stone fireplace.

Restaurant
Egnathia Restaurant: under the star-shaped vaults of the ancient cowsheds, you are going to taste traditional and refined cuisine, thus re-discovering the typical Apulian flavours. Vegetables are grown organically, and thanks to their strong taste, are the best to put our chefs in the position of expressing their Mediterranean creativeness.

Swimming Pool
In summer, in the shade of Cabana snack bar, surrounded by olive trees and low dry-stone walls, you could catch some rays of our land by the pool-side, and taste genuine and fresh vegetables and dairy products.

Health Club
Entirely carved in stone, Torre Coccaro spa epitomises the importance of nature by using wood and rice paper, and overlooking plants and secular olive trees. It is fitted with a big technogym, heated swimming pool, whirlpool and Turkish baths using eucalypt oil. THE SOINS - all the treatments performed here use herbs and organic fruits picked up in AVEDA lands. Musk, yucca, true aloe, camomile, lime, exotic fruits, officinal herbs and personalised essential oils are used for plant therapies aimed at suiting your needs.  THE MASSAGES - the wide choice offered by the farm ranges from traditional ayurvedic massage on water mats, to shiatsu and reflexology, thanks to the expertise and professionalism of our staff, for whom human contact is key to the success of the spa.

Beach
Along a sandy beach we have built an exclusive lounge for our visitors, a quiet and refined place where you will enjoy the sun on beach mattresses, and benefit from bar services and snacks, boutique, massages, and fish restaurant - sushi and oyster bar.
