Holiday cottages available all year round. Can be rented by the week, with either Wednesday or Saturday changeovers. Situated near Dinan, only 30 minutes from the channel port of St. Malo (Brittany Ferries) and Dinard airport (Ryanair).
Launay Arot consists of a cluster of typical Breton stone cottages and barns, parts of which are thought to be in excess of three hundred years old. They have been restored and refurbished to provide very comfortable holiday cottages tucked away in a rural setting of complete tranquility, yet within easy reach of ferry ports, beaches and many local attractions.
Launay Arot (pronounced 'Lawnay Arrow') is situated amidst peaceful farmland about 25 minutes' drive from the beautiful Brittany coast. There are two acres of gardens and playing fields including a small children's play area (to give the adults a bit of space), and a boules pitch (to give the children a bit of space).
Accommodation and Facilities
There are five gites at Launay Arot, all of which have been refurbished and equipped to high standards.
All the gites have wall mounted electric convector heaters. The bedrooms are furnished with beds, chest of drawers, wardrobe and bedside cabinets. All the baths have integral shower units. Electricity for heating, hot water, laundry etc. is included in the price, as is wood for the open fires and log burners.
All the gites have heating, hot water and bed linen provided within the price. The English owners, Nick and Sue Thain live on site all year, so there is always someone available to provide advice and assistance with all those important matters such as shopping, eating out, finding the best places to visit etc. Our aim is to retain and improve the character and ambience of Launay Arot as a "family friendly" place to enjoy quiet, stress-free holidays within easy reach of a multitude of attractions for both adults and children.
Picnic tables and barbecues are provided for each cottage, and there are plenty of places to have a quiet meal, sit and read a book, or simply lie in the sun and enjoy the complete tranquility of this lovely site. The grounds are child-friendly; we are situated just off an extremely quiet rural road which is ideal for cycling (bikes provided f.o.c.), and there is plenty of space for the children to play and explore in complete safety.

Golf :
Golf Des Ormes

Based in the heart of a 370-acre estate close to the 16th century castle, Des Ormes golf course is a excellent place for relaxation. The course is set in wooded parkland, amongst age old trees and a beautiful natural lake.
Thanks to the courses staggered tees Des Ormes is suitable for all handicaps. At the end of this challenging round you will find yourself going back to a clubhouse which is located in the castle's 18th century out buildings.
Golf Le Tronchet (St Malo)

A championship course that covers 250 acres of land. In the heart of the countryside near Saint Malo, a former pirate haunt, the Saint Malo Golf Club is a must during your trip to France With a view over nearly a third of the golf course, a former 17th century Priory stands, and with modern facilities is now Saint-Malo's clubhouse.
Saint Cast (Pen Guen)

A short course with well defended and fast greens, suitable for all levels. The friendly clubhouse, overlooking the beach serves snacks and drinks. Good value green fees.

Dinard

Designed in 1887 by Tom Dunn, this prestigious links is one of the oldest in France. The 06th hole is said to be one of the most beautiful in the world.
