The Bed and Breakfast Maison Cognet is a 19th century house in the countryside, in a small hamlet, 15 kms from Vichy. A large garden of 3000 sqm overlooking hills invites you to relax after your excursions.
On the first floor, there is large room of 35 m² with double bed and also a comfortable seating area.
You have a beautiful bathroom with shower and two sinks and a separate toilet.
Through the windows you have a garden view and the Charolais countryside.
Breakfast is served in the veranda or the terrace.
Your car will be parked in a fenced yard. The house and the five neighbouring houses are at the end of a narrow road, so there is not much traffic.

You'll find very many paths to walk, well indicated and going from Cognet (400 m) up to the mountains to St.Nicolas (1000m).
You may also visit the nice town of VICHY,a thermal station with the charm of Napoleon III and his wife who came often here. It is nice to stay for a while on the Allier's river side with a lovely park.
Saturday morning, you may go to a real market at CUSSET where you'll find whatever you like.
CHATEL-MONTAGNE has a jewel of an romanesque church and 15 or 20 "artisans" are working in this village.
CHATELDON, an ancient little town,with one of the oldest houses of France.
The big castle of BUSSET was owned by the royal family for 500 years and can be visited. They have given their name "the Bourbons" to the Bourbon's mountains where we .live

The golf course is an 18-hole, par 72, international course covering 56 hectares, with slopes, valleys and water features that will charm even the most demanding player. In this theatre of green, it is not unusual to see deer crossing the fairways, or mallards gliding across the lakes.
