Holiday Cottages in Chacewater, Cornwall near Killiow Golf Club,  Truro Golf Club and Radnor Golf and Leisure Centre

All three cottages are in the grounds of Kilhellan House, a much loved country family home, set deep in the heart of Cornwall within five acres of beautiful grounds that include a superb outdoor heated swimming pool (May to end September). Close to the fine city of Truro and the beautiful sand dunes and beaches of Perranporth and St Agnes, this stunning detached house is very much a period piece of old fashioned charm, very decorative, brimming with books, paintings, handsome fabrics and drapes, good quality antiques and includes plenty of gracious and homely touches.  A welcome home-made Cornish cream tea is provided on arrival!   This is an outstanding place to be in summer as the spacious grounds consist of wide lawns, perfect for croquet, cricket, picnics and camping, a large pond (children need to take care), provided with a rowing boat, a stream and all bordered by extensive fields. Warm and cosy in winter, this is a particularly special spot for Christmas and New Year.

Ash Cottage Sleeps 2
The cottage has its own private entrance and enjoys picturesque views over the lawns to the pond and countryside beyond. Forming part of the first floor of the house, this comfortable apartment is a real hideaway for couples who want to get away from it all and enjoy this lovely part of Cornwall.   A short flight of steps lead up the side of the house to a small vestibule with coat hooks and a door leads into a small, basic kitchen diner with table to seat 4, electric cooker, microwave and fridge with ice box. The spacious sitting room is well furnished with sofa, chairs, TV with DVD and has fine views overlooking the beautiful grounds of Kilhellan House. A door from the kitchen leads into a large bathroom with an avocado suite comprising a large corner bath with shower over, twin basins in vanity unit and WC. A low door from here leads into the cosy bedroom with sloping ceiling and double 4ft 6in bed.

Front door into porch with coat hooks. Brick arch into attractive kitchen with four oven Aga with twin hobs, 2 plate warmers, an electric cooker with ceramic hob and double ovens, microwave, TV, dishwasher and large farmhouse table. A walk in larder has a large fridge freezer and there is a downstairs WC with basin. Rear door to the gardens. An outside utility room houses washing machine, drying lines, chest freezer, logs and coal. The kitchen extends on into a delightful dining room with dining table, fine furniture and plate warmer. Door into sitting room , a handsome room with open fireplace, a large sofa, chaise longue and plenty of chairs. Small snug sitting room with sofa and chair and large flat screen TV with DVD and video.   Stairs to landing. Master bedroom with large en-suite bathroom with bath, shower over, twin basins in vanity unit and bidet. Arch into the bedroom with a 6ft 6in zip linked double bed, fitted cupboards, TV and double aspect windows. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds (these can be zip linked to form a double), wash hand basin and fitted cupboards.

Twin bedroom with 3ft beds (these can be zip linked to form a double), wash hand basin and fitted cupboards. Two steps down from landing to children's bedroom with sloping ceiling, a single 3ft bed and set of 3ft full size bunk beds. From here, low door to family bathroom. This is rather dated with an avocado suite with large corner bath with shower over, twin basins in vanity unit and WC. Door to small, basic second kitchen/diner with table, electric cooker and fridge, useful as a children's playroom. Fourth bedroom, with 4ft 6in double bed, TV, fitted cupboard and double aspect windows. Off the secondary kitchen is a small vestibule and stairs down to the gardens.

Killiow Golf Club
Set in the magnificent grounds of Killiow Estate this well maintained and picturesque 18 hole parkland course presents a challenge to golfers of all standards. The tranquil setting offers a chance to relax amonst the mature trees, the natural water features and the indigenous wildlife, which includes buzzards, swallows, woodpeckers, jays, dragonflies and of course rabbits.

Truro Golf Club
An "in town" course, with a rural feel, the Truro Golf Club is a jewel hidden in the middle of the picturesque Town of Truro.  Situated at the head of the Bay of Fundy, our winds and weather are greatly influenced by the tides.    Rolling greens, wide fairways, lots of trees, water and sand...... what more could a golfer ask for?

Radnor Golf and Leisure
Our course is a nine hole (3par) public course and offer a complete service for all golf requirements.  Our 9 hole, par 3 Golf Course is professionally designed and maintained, offering a true test of golfing skills for the mid to handicap golfers. At the same time, the course is ideally suited to beginners.
