No longer the new kid on the block, but in the four years it has been open Eton Lodge has shot from zero to four stars, won a Silver Award and been hailed in the national press as one of the best in the country. In that time artist Stewart Lees and his wife Caren have maintained and developed their exceptional attention to detail and the result is this acclaimed Bed & Breakfast.

There are three superbly equipped guest rooms. Each room is an en-suite double and contains items to cover most minor emegencies, from an insect bite to sunburn and from cuts and grazes to a forgotten toothbrush. There is a bowl of fresh fruit in each room plus a mini fridge, replenished daily with fresh milk for your tea, bottles of mineral water.....and even mint chocolates!

The Eton Lodge breakfast is the experience guests most often write about. Awaken to the aromas coming from the kitchen and make your first meal the highlight of your day. Stewart and Caren are strong believers in supporting their local farmers and food producers here in Norfolk. There are always good vegetarian options available on the breakfast menu and Gluten Free or other restricted or special diets can be accommodated with a little notice.

Hunstanton is amongst Britain’s best loved seaside resorts with a unique history and boasting one of the country’s top links golf courses. Here you can enjoy the traditional pleasures of the funfair, a walk along the prom, donkey rides on the sand or even fishing in rock pools.

But Hunstanton’s famous striped cliffs also mark the beginning of mile upon mile of stunning coastline designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. These endless stretches of sand, backed by dunes, salt marshes and pine forests, attract bird and wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world.

Hunstanton Golf Course
Hunstanton links is a classic 'out and back' design, on either side of a central spine or dune ridge. The 12th, 13th and 14th holes play across this ridge. The course was extended in 1923, under the direction of the new Professional, James Sherlock, from 5,700 to 6,300 yards with new 9th, 10th and 11th hole. Its present length from the back tees is 6,760 yards (6,910 from the championship tees).

Sheringham Golf Course
Set on the cliffs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sheringham Golf Course remains one of the most picturesque in the region - the view from the 5th tee is one of the most memorable in golf! The course is set on a strip of rolling, gorse-clad clifftop that lies between the preserved North Norfolk Railway and the North Sea. Sheringham is a challenging course for all golfers at all times of the year .

Royal Cromer Golf Course
It is a great cliff top Links style course and from every hole at some point the sea comes into view. One of its many endearing and for some frustrating features is that it rarely plays the same from morning to afternoon. It is also a great course to play in wintertime, and because of it great drainage very rarely has more than one or two temporary greens in the worst of weather conditions.

King’s Lynn Golf Club
Situated just a few miles to the North of the historic market town of King's Lynn at Castle Rising is one of East Anglia's premier golf clubs.  Carved out of the picturesque North West Norfolk pine and silver birch forests just down the road from the Royal Sandringham Estate this sandy well-drained course compares favourably with some of the finest inland courses in the UK.
