Visit what could be described as one of the most beautiful places in England, the Hartland Peninsula in North Devon, and stay in the idyllic setting and luxury accommodation of award-winning Yapham Coastal Cottages. Yapham is a very special place with many guests returning on a regular basis.

With spectacular views across the valley and towards the sea, our three beautiful stone built barn conversions offer complete tranquillity yet are perfect for visiting nearby tourist attractions; Clovelly with its famous cobbled streets, Cornwall and The Eden Project, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lundy Island, Lynton and Lynmouth.

Our self-catering cottages are set on the slopes of an ancient sheltered valley in landscaped gardens within seven acres of lovely grounds. Here you can enjoy the freedom of a self-catering holiday without the hassle of shopping and cooking as we can supply a seasonal selection of home cooked farmhouse meals, fresh and frozen dishes and breakfasts hampers. There is also an excellent selection of eating-places on the Hartland Peninsula and the village of Hartland with its many shops and pubs is only two miles away.

Unwind and relax in our stunning and tranquil coastal accommodation. Yapham self-catering cottages in North Devon offer you a wonderful two-day break that is truly romantic.

Be welcomed with freshly baked scones and decorated chocolate cake, champagne, chocolates and red roses. Be spoilt with two three-course gourmet meals and a breakfast hamper on one of these days.

The Cottages

Barley Cottage - SLEEPS 2 PEOPLE
A very, pretty single-storey cottage. Barley offers a particularly private location with a large garden leading into a newly planted orchard.

The Accommodation - The living room is light and airy with wonderful views across the valley. Perfect for bird lovers who may watch in fascination as a great variety of birds take food from the feeders immediately outside the lounge window.  Barley has a separate fitted kitchen with dining area. There is also a small double bedroom with en-suite shower room.
Parking can be very close to this cottage. This has proved an added bonus to some of our guests.

Windbury Cottage - SLEEPS 2 (or 4 with sofabed)
Windbury is a charming single-storey cottage with a sun terrace, bedecked in a profusion of flowers all summer long.

The accommodation - The cottage has a beautiful double bedroom with en-suite double shower. It also offers a spacious 21 foot open plan lounge/dining room and kitchen area with a small double sofa bed.  Windbury offers accommodation on one level only. This has been very useful to some of our guests.

Shipload Cottage - SLEEPS 4
The largest of our cottages, Shipload offers split-level, spacious accommodation with a garden and sun terrace and wonderful views across the valley.

A beautifully light and airy cottage, full of character and beamed throughout.  The living room has an open-truss ceiling with a balustrade, which overlooks the kitchen. The bespoke kitchen has cream units with built in microwave,fridge, ceramic hob and cooker. French doors from the kitchen lead onto the sun terrace. There are two bedrooms, one double and one en-suite with two good-sized single beds. A door from this bedroom leads onto the sun terrace.Separate bathroom with bath and shower attachment.
What better way to start the day than breakfast outdoors listening only to the birdsong!

Gardens
Yapham is probably unique in that our cottages not only give our guests an idyllic setting and luxury accommodation but they are set in seven acres of lovely grounds. Each cottage is bedecked with flowers on the terraced landscaped gardens surrounding each property.  In addition we have a two-acre ancient woodland, a newly planted orchard and paths that meander around our garden. We are continually working on the grounds to ensure they provide a myriad of colour for a large part of the year, from the wonderful spring flowers and wild primroses to the hydrangeas and fuchsias in the summer.

Hartland Forest Golf Club 6 miles
If you enjoy a varied round of golf that will suit your game irrespective of you ability, experience or handicap, then look no further than the course at Hartland Forest Golf Club.  Measuring 6015 yards over eighteen diverse holes, it offers a par of 71, which tells you that a good solid test of your ability lies ahead of you.

Royal North Devon - Westward Ho Golf Club 10 miles
Our playing surfaces are second to none, boasting year-round fast and true greens, firm tees and tight fairway lies, which require crisply struck iron shots. Everyone who loves golf should play here, if not to walk on a genuine golfing heritage site then to soak up the unique atmosphere.  If you love links golf, you will surely want to return many times to experience golf as it should be played!

Holsworthy Golf Club 10 miles
Just over 6000 yards in length from the first tee all the way around to the eighteenth pin positioned just in front of the clubhouse, the course at Holsworthy Golf Club really is as its second syllable suggests - "worthy"

Bude and North Cornwall 15 miles
he Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club is a challenging links course established in 1891. Originally two clubs (North Cornwall for the gentry and Bude for the town, they were merged in 1949). Excellent drainage enables the course to be playable throughout the year off regular tees and greens. The greens have beautiful quick surfaces with both severe and subtle borrows. 18 holes. 6057 yards. Par 71. SSS 70.
