Guest Rooms at "Kadina" Bed & Breakfast

Our home has two queen rooms, one with single bed. Both bedrooms have their own facilities. We cater for extra children on folding beds in a private living room.

Our 'Lavender Room' which has views to the East. It has its own Ensuite. Both rooms have robes if required, toiletries, hairdryer, extra pillows and towels, electric blankets, doonas, ceiling fans as well has centrally controlled reverse cycle air conditioning.

The 'Hunter Room' which has a Single bed as well as the Queen. It also features a TV and a full bathroom with separate shower and bath. If there are more children we can accommodate them in a private living room on folding beds and with TV.

Tea and coffee is available when required. We offer a Country Style Dinner by prior arrangement in our traditionally furnished dining room. Breakfast can be served on the patio, secluded back garden or dining room. A simple picnic can be packed for you for your day trips.

The Spa is in the secluded screened garden room and has wonderful therapeutic characteristics for those who have aching bones from travelling. It is treated with Ozone and thus no allergy to chemicals

Attractions around "Kadina" Bed & Breakfast

Without any doubt, the major tourist attraction of Parkes is the famous Radio Telescope.  One of the world's most powerful telescopes, its primary role is in collecting, magnifying and analysing radio waves.   The visitors' centre (open daily from 8.30am - 4.15pm) has an audio-visual display, interactive elements, computer tours, a working model of the telescope, a hologram, a live connection with the control room computers, project material, souvenirs, posters and the 'Dish Cafe'.

In the town area, you can visit Garden Bower Art Studio, Tyndall's Lavender Farm, Parkes Museum and Craft Corner and Garden Centre.

10 minutes from town you can visit the Alpaca farm

Parkes offers many and varied sporting facilities. The golfer is well catered for with a picturesque 18 hole grassed green course with watered fairways. (Helen & Mal are both members)

Parkes Golf Course
Parkes Golf Club operates an 18 hole championship Golf Course and Licensed Club at Parkes, in Central Western NSW.  Parkes is situated on the busy Newell Highway which runs between Melbourne and Brisbane.  Indeed, the town is more or less midway between those 2 cities.   The course is a Par 71 and is fully watered all through the year, and yes, we have grass greens. Come and play and you too will discover that Parkes Golf Club really is the Jewell on the Newell.

Parkes is an ideal starting point to visit the surrounding areas: The Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is only 70 minutes away, a drive to Cowra takes about 65 minutes, and the trip to Orange takes only 60 minutes. Forbes, which is only 20 minutes away, reminds you about the setting of the movie 'The Dish'
